Gro for Tissue Therapies
Tissue Therapies to commence human VitroGro trials locally
Tissue Therapies [ASX: TIS] is to conduct a clinical trial of its VitroGro wound healing technology in Perth, to begin in August.
The trial will be conducted at UWA Professor Chris Stacey's wound care clinic in Perth, and will concentrate on venous ulcers.
Tissue Therapies is also awaiting regulatory approval to conduct another group of trials in Toronto, Canada, which will concentrate on diabetic and pressure ulcers (bed sores). Preparation for both trials is complete.
VitroGro has already undergone more than six years of laboratory research using live human skin cells. The technology was developed from research at Queensland University of Technology's Institute for Health and Biomedical Innovation (IHBI).
