
Police have arrested a man after an alleged knife attack forced a major shopping centre into lockdown.
Emergency services were called to the Woolworths supermarket inside Grand Central Shopping Centre in Toowoomba, west of Brisbane, about 1.15pm on Friday following reports of a disturbance involving several people.

Police arrived within minutes and took a man into custody.
Witnesses described seeing shoppers and staff hurried from the supermarket as police officers and centre security moved through the area.
Parts of the shopping centre were evacuated while emergency crews responded.
Paramedics assessed three people at the scene. One man suffered a hand injury and was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
The two other people assessed by paramedics were not physically injured.
No charges had been laid as of Friday afternoon.
